Kennedy Magic on Cape Cod

The next time you visit Cape Cod, make a special stop at the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum. The wonderful museum on bustling Main Street pays homage to President Kennedy and his deep connection to Cape Cod, where he spent magical summers with his parents, siblings and cousins in his youth and later with his wife Jacqueline and children Caroline and John.
An exhibit running through June is “A Sankofa Journey: The African in America,” and the museum has ongoing exhibits such as “Presidential Summers: The Kennedys on Cape Cod” and “Robert F. Kennedy: Ripple of Hope.” In July, an exhibit of photography by Paul G. Ryan from the 1960s will feature icons of the era including Robert & Ethel Kennedy.

In addition, the JFK Museum hosts ongoing author readings and lectures, and visitors can take a guided stroll on the Kennedy Legacy Trail Walk, which begins at the museum and includes some favorite Kennedy landmarks.
If you want to support the mighty efforts of JFK Hyannis Museum, think about becoming a member! Or, you can make a donation and make sure President Kennedy’s legacy is preserved on the Cape, through engaging museum exhibits, enriching civics education and dynamic cultural programming.

And finally, stop by the gift shop and pick up some perfect mementos and gifts for family and friends.
The John F. Kennedy Museum is located at 397 Main Street, Hyannis, MA, and is open year-round. Summer hours are Monday- Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is ADA accessible, and free parking and group rates are available.
