Boston Irish Music School Fall Classes

Greater Boston’s acclaimed traditional Irish music organization, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann now accepting students for its 10-week fall semester at its CCE Boston Irish Music School, which runs from September 21 through November 25, 2026. Deadline for enrollment is Monday, September 7, 2026.

Every level of musician – including beginners, intermediate and advanced players, is welcome. Traditional Irish instruments being taught this semester include Fiddle, Banjo, Bodhrán, Button Accordion, Concertina, Flute, Guitar, Harp, Mandolin, Sean-nós Singing (in Irish and English), Tin Whistle and Uilleann Pipes.  Instrument rentals and scholarships are available.

The classes are taught by professional Boston-based musicians who have performed across the globe. See faculty roster.

In-person youth and adult group lessons take place weekly at the Arts Collaborative in Medford on Monday afternoons and evenings, and at St.Agatha’s School in Milton on Wednesday afternoons & evenings. In addition, the CCE Boston Music School offers online classes via Zoom; online classes are specifically aimed at intermediate and advanced students on select instruments.

Founded in 1997, the CCÉ Boston Music School is part of the Reynolds Hanafin Cooley CCÉ branch, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1976 and dedicated to preserving traditional Irish music, song, dance, language, and culture.
