A Lasting Partnership
The Irish American Partnership reaches a seminal milestone in 2026 as it celebrates its 40th anniversary investing in Ireland’s future. The milestone itself is a testament to the exceptional work the Partnership has done since 1986, raising some $57 million for Ireland from the Irish-American Diaspora.
The grant money is dispersed across the entire island of Ireland, and has supported programs in education, cultural enrichment, jobs, community investments and peace initiatives. Education has emerged in recent years as the most popular choice for targeted giving, especially in small towns and rural communities.
Headquartered in Boston, the Partnership has strong support from Irish communities across the US, especially in New York City, Albany, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Chicago and beyond, thanks to an ongoing series of breakfast gatherings, golf outings, and special events such as the Nollaig na mBan Women’s Leadership Celebration each January. In recent years, the Partnership has initiated Young Leaders chapters in Boston and New York, organizing social and networking events that bring together like-minded people interested in supporting Ireland. In March, the Partnership celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a joyful and meaningful way by hosting St. Patrick’s Day Breakfasts in Chicago and Boston. On March 13, Ireland’s Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne, TD is keynote speaker at the Union League Club of Chicago. On March 17, Ireland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Helen McEntee, TD is keynote speaker and special guest at the InterContinental Hotel Boston along the city’s waterfront.
Congratulations to the Irish American Partnership on its milestone anniversary.
