MCCA Welcomes Summer Visitors

Greater Boston is bustling in summer 2026, with World Cup Soccer, America 250 and Sail Boston coming to town. As always, the Mass Convention Center Authority (MCCA) will be in the center of the action.
Visitors this summer will flock to MCCA’s popular Lawn on D, Boston’s most innovative and dynamic outdoor event space in the thriving South Boston Waterfront. It offers a full slate of lawn games and live music, food and drinks and casual fun with friends and colleagues and is open to the public. In June and July, Lawn on D is planning a number of World Cup watch parties to cheer on national teams competing in The Most Beautiful Game.
MCCA also has its own Boston Seaport Ferry, which caters to workers in the Seaport District and is also open to the public. Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased on the mobile app or aboard the ferry. There are two routes, one connecting North Station (Lovejoy Wharf) to the Seaport at Fan Pier and Pier 10 (Drydock Avenue), and another connecting East Boston (Lewis Mall Wharf) to Fan Pier. The service runs Monday- Friday every 15-20 minutes during the morning and evening commute. The Boston Seaport Ferry makes it easy for commuters and workers to easily get around Boston while enjoying its beautiful waterfront.
Another MCCA perk getting lots of attention is the UnConventional Boston Podcast Studio, which provides convention groups and local businesses and organizations with the latest tools in the digital media space. This innovative, full-service studio caters to podcasters, content creators, and event organizers, providing a professional environment to produce high-quality audio and video content.
MCCA is a state government agency that holds conventions, conferences and meetings in order to create economic impact for Boston and Massachusetts, while also enhancing the civic life of the communities it serves. It operates the flagship Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center and Lawn on D in South Boston Waterfront Center in South Boston Seaport, John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Back Bay, MassMutual Center, Convention Center Carpark & The Landing in Springfield and the Boston Common parking garage.
