JFK Event: Presidential Pets
September 27 @ 11:00 am

For the first time, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is throwing a party just for the furry and feathered friends who once called the White House home.
Families can enjoy hands-on, pet-themed activities—including a pet personality quiz, animal mask-making with local artists, and a “White House Pets” photo recreation station.
We will also be welcoming Company2Heroes who will provide a special service dog demonstration and–weather permitting–offer a puppy therapy session where guests can meet and help handle future service dogs just starting their training.
The Animal Rescue League of Boston will also join the festivities and share information about pet adoption and other ways visitors can support animal wellness.
In addition, you can check out the Library’s special Presidential Pets exhibit and learn about the different animals that called the White House home. The JFK Museum Store and Café will will be open all day.
The Library will have a special $5 pet-themed, ice cream sundae bar! Get yours before they sell out!
All activities are free with paid admission. Youth ages 17 and under are always free. Adaptive maker activities and a Flexible Calming Space will be available for anyone who needs a break at any time. This is an inclusive program and people both with and without disabilities are always welcomed.
While the Library loves all pets, only service animals are allowed to attend the Party.
Presidential pets have been companions and confidants to our nation’s leaders, often with a front-row seat to history. Join the JFK Presidential Library & Museum to celebrate their place in the White House—and in our hearts.
