MCCA Lawn

Whether you are traveling across the globe for an international conference in Boston or driving across town to an annual community banquet, you’ll always get a first-class welcome from Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, whose world-class venues in Boston and Springfield, MA are designed for every type of group, big and small.

State-of-the-art facilities and great customer service are hallmarks of MCCA, whose facilities include Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and Lawn on D in South Boston’s Seaport District, John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Back Bay, MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield and the underground parking garage beneath historic Boston Common.

MCCA also owns the Seaport Ferry, an increasingly popular way for commuters, cruise ship passengers and local residents to get around downtown Boston quickly and efficiently. Operated by Bay State Cruise Company, the Seaport Ferry runs every 20 minutes between Lovejoy Wharf in the North End and Fan Pier in South Boston. Starting in June, 2025, the ferry is adding another stop at Pier 10 in the Ray Flynn Marine Industrial Park, a small waterfront park at the eastern end of Drydock Avenue and a bustling business center. The Seaport Ferry gets you where you need to go, and offers striking vistas of Boston Harbor and the city skyline, without all the traffic!

Another thing to look forward to this spring is the opening of Lawn on D, Boston’s most innovative and dynamic outdoor event space in the heart of the Seaport District. Lawn on D runs alongside the BCEC and is a perfect spot for conventioneers to unwind after a day of meetings and to keep on networking. It is also a hub of activity for community events and Boston residents who love to spend summer evenings here. With pickleball, bocce, ping-pong and giant chess sets, there’s plenty of fun and games for all to enjoy. Rebel Restaurants, a popular hospitality group, offers a concessions menu that includes grill favorites, wraps, deli sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages. Lawn on D opens for the 2025 season in May.
