Celebrating with Irish American Partnership

Each St. Patrick’s Day season, as Americans ponder how best to honor their Irish heritage in a meaningful way, they often turn to the Irish American Partnership, and for good reason. For nearly 40 years, the Partnership has been helping to ensure that Ireland’s future remains promising by investing in its youth.
Since its launch in 1986, the Boston-based non-profit group has distributed more than $57 million across the island of Ireland, supporting various programs in jobs and investment, peace initiatives and cultural enrichment and education. Indeed, education has emerged as the main appeal for thousands of Irish-Americans who contribute each year to the Partnership.
President & CEO Mary Sugrue and her team are perpetually thankful for the outpouring of support, telling their supporters, “Your generosity has equipped schools, universities, and organizations with the resources they need to educate and inspire, empowering young people, and building a more peaceful and equitable future.”
In 2025, the Partnership hosts two annual St. Patrick’s Day breakfast celebrations, on Friday, March 14, at the Union League Club in Chicago, and on Monday, March 17 at Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston. Guest speakers include government officials from Ireland and the United States. It is a wonderful chance to strengthen friendships, while supporting Ireland now and for generations to come.
While the Partnership prepares to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026, its mission of shaping the next generation of Irish leaders remains an investment in Ireland’s future well worth making.
