Since 1952, the people of western Massachusetts have been celebrating Irish heritage and culture, as well as community pride, at the annual Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade. Now in its 72nd year, the 2.65 mile parade kicks off on Sunday, March 23rd at 11 a.m. from Kmart Plaza on Rt. 5 – Northampton Street and ends on High Street. Hundreds of volunteers work throughout the year to raise funds, invite bands, and honor individuals with awards and recognition.

Actress Bridget Moynahan is the 2025 recipient of the John F. Kennedy National Award. Moynahan grew up 10 miles from Holyoke in Longmeadow, and had a brilliant career as a movie and television star, best known for her iconic TV role as Erin Reagan in the hit television series Blue Bloods. Bridget is also an accomplished author and advocate, serving as a spokesperson for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, an organization dedicated to providing joy, community, and healing to children with serious illnesses and their families.
