Marina Bay Ferry

The popular Marina Bay Ferry in Quincy, Massachusetts resumes its new season on April 28, 2025, with exciting new operational changes to make the ferry ride more efficient and frequent, according to Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA).

The Marina Bay Ferry runs from April 28 through November 26 from Squantum Point in Quincy, with stops at Boston Seaport District, Logan International Airport and the New England Aquarium at Central Wharf in downtown Boston. See 2025 schedule.

Instead of a single route between Quincy and Winthrop as in previous years, there are now two separate routes on weekdays: the Quincy Ferry operates directly between Quincy and Boston, while the Winthrop Ferry goes between Winthrop and Boston. With two separate ferry routes serving Winthrop and Quincy specifically, the MBTA is more than doubling trips to these destinations on weekdays, while improving trip times by about 30 minutes.

In addition, beginning May 17, 2025, the MBTA will operate a combined Winthrop and Quincy Ferry route serving all destinations on weekends.

One-way fares are $6.50 full fare, $3.25 reduced fare, and children 11 and under ride free. Parking is free at Marina Bay. Get directions.

While at Marina Bay, visit the beautiful new Quincy Navy Park, a homage to the city’s military veterans, maritime history, and its shipbuilding industry.

In 2025, Quincy 400 celebrates the City of Quincy 400th anniversary, and has exciting events scheduled throughout the year. Visit DiscoverQuincy.com for more information.
