Forbes House Museum Lecture on Governor Boutwell

Author Jeffrey Boutwell lectures on George Boutwell (1818-1905), 19th century abolitionist and civil rights proponent and the youngest elected governor of Massachusetts. A distant relative of Governor Boutwell, author Jeffrey Boutwell’s book, “Boutwell: Radical Republican and Champion of Democracy” pays fitting tribute to one of the 19th century’s greatest champions of human rights.
