MOTT ISSUES TOURISM AWARDS
AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism issued awards to tourism leaders and destinations around the Commonwealth at the 25th annual Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism.
The gathering was held on September 20, 2012 at the Big E Fairgrounds in Springfield. Among the speakers: Governor Deval Patrick, Lt. Governor Tim Murray, Greg Bialecki, MA Secretary of Housing and Economic Development and Betsy Wall, MOTT Executive Director.
The thirteen awards presented to tourism leaders were named in honor of PR guru Larry Meehan, whose illustrious career promoting Boston and Massachusetts spans 32 years. Meehan works for the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
MOTT also recognized 23 premier tourism attractions, including the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, the Freedom Trail, Lowell Folk Festival, Plimouth Plantation and Tanglewood.
