bernadette morris

Bernadette Morris is an Irish folk and traditional singer-songwriter from County Tyrone, Ireland, making her debut appearance at the Irish Cultural Centre. Known for her expressive voice and modern take on traditional Irish music, she performs a mix of traditional Irish folk songs and original material, often blending classic sounds with contemporary influences. Her performances are noted for their storytelling—she often introduces songs with personal or historical context, creating a strong connection with audiences.

In addition to singing, she is also an accomplished fiddle player and songwriter. Her debut album, All the Ways You Wander (2013), received strong praise in the Irish folk scene and helped establish her reputation. She has since released additional singles and projects, including collaborations with well-known Irish artists and songwriters. Her later work, including the album To the Well for Water, features both self-written songs and co-writes with notable musicians from Ireland and beyond.

Named a “One to Watch” by Hot Press magazine (2020), her music has been played on major outlets like RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2, and she has appeared on TV in Ireland and the UK. Bernadette has toured internationally, performing in the U.S., Europe, and Australia, as well as at festivals such as the Folk Alliance and the National Celtic Festival. She has supported major artists like Cara Dillon and Brian Kennedy.
