Ireland’s Project Children Visits Boston

Join the Irish Network Boston and the Irish Cultural Centre for a screening of the documentary, How to Defuse a Bomb: The Project Children Story. Denis Mulcahy, who started Project Children in 1975, is attending the event.
A non-profit organization, Project Children brought more than 23,000 Protestant and Catholic children from Northern Ireland to the United States during The Troubles, offering them safety, connection, and a different path forward. Denis has received numerous honors for his humanitarian work and has twice been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The film shares the real people and relationships behind that impact, along with the lasting legacy it created. A book about Project Children is being launched in October at the Monaghan Peace Campus in Co. Monaghan, Ireland.
