Brooklyn (movie): Playing at the Milton Public Library

Enjoy a FREE screening of the film: Brooklyn.

Starring Saoirse Ronan and based on the novel by Colm Tóibín, the film follows Eilis Lacey, a young Irish woman who migrates to Brooklyn in the early 1950s to find employment.

After building a life in Brooklyn, Eilis is drawn back to her home town of Enniscorthy and has to choose where she wants to forge her future.

Rated PG – 13 for a scene of sexuality and brief strong language.
The movie will be featured in the Keys Community Room.

The MPL is presenting additional programs at the Library to celebrate Colm Tóibín’s works including a Brooklyn movie night on March 25, a books discussion group on April 6, and a larger Colm Tóibín books discussion group on April 15 at Milton High School.
