This Labor Day weekend, the City of Quincy and Mayor Tom Koch salute the workers who built the city and the nation, as part of the America 250 celebrations taking place in 2026.
From shoemakers and granite cutters to generations of shipyard workers—and from the skilled trades to the men and women building and serving Quincy today—hard work has always been a central part of Quincy’s story.
On Sunday September 6th, we celebrate them. Fireworks over Quincy Bay shortly after 8:00 p.m. Best viewing from Wollaston Beach and Quincy’s eastern neighborhoods overlooking the bay.
