Global Irish Famine Way – South Shore

A special evening to support the Global Irish Famine Way – South Shore and the creation of a permanent place of remembrance in Cohasset honoring the emigrants of the Great Hunger and the passengers of the Brig St. John.

This event  brings together members of the South Shore’s Irish-American community, local businesses, historians, supporters, and friends for an evening centered on remembrance, heritage, and the work of carrying this story forward.

Guests will have an opportunity to learn more about the Global Irish Famine Way, see the progress being made toward the South Shore installation, and become part of the project through the newly established Bronze Shoe Society, which recognizes those who make a meaningful commitment to preserving this history for future generations. Founding Members will become part of the story from its beginning.
