ICC Presents: Our Steps, Our Story – An Irish Dance Legacy Archive

In an interactive talk at the Irish Cultural Centre, Butler will lead the audience through the origins of her Our Steps archival project, which currently has over 200 + hours of video and audio resources consisting of never-before documented Irish dances and oral history interviews from Ireland, England, Scotland, Canada, and the United States.

Select clips from the video archive and oral history collection – which capture the history of Irish dance as remembered and danced by those who created and contributed to it – will be shown throughout the evening. A moderated Question & Answer will follow the presentation.
