LOGAN AIRPORT EXPECTS
MORE BOSTON-IRELAND
FLIGHTS IN 2013
Massport reported that Aer Lingus has confirmed plans to add two weekly roundtrips to the Boston-Dublin route, for a total of twelve round-trip flights a week in 2013, according to Yil Surehan, Director of Airport Route Development at Logan Airport.
Surehan also noted that Aer Lingus will resume its Boston-Shannon roundtrip service on March 11, 2013, two weeks earlier than in 2012, to accommodate demand for St. Patrick’s Day events in Massachusetts and Ireland.
In October, 2011 Logan Airport opened a public art exhibit at international Terminal E, featuring murals of Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail, the John F. Kennedy Library, and other icons places in Massachusetts. Logan Airport is named after Edward Lawrence Logan of South Boston, a firstgeneration Irish-American whose father came from Ballygar, County Galway.
