Considered one of Scotland's premier fiddlers, Fraser has a distinguished career spanning 30 years, with numerous awards, radio and television credits, and performances on top movie soundtracks such as Last of the Mohicans and Titanic. Hass is one of the most sought after cellists in traditional music today. The Juilliard School of Music graduate has performed and recorded with the world's top acoustic musicians, including Mark O'Connor, Natalie MacMaster, Liz Carroll, Solas and Altan.
Fraser and Hass have been performing together for more than two decades. Their debut recording, Fire & Grace, won the Scots Trad Music "Album of the Year" award, the Scottish equivalent of a Grammy. Since then, they have recorded three more critically acclaimed albums that blend a profound understanding of the Scottish tradition with cutting-edge string explorations.
Groton Hill Music Center is a 126,000 square foot music education and performance destination rooted in the agricultural communities of North Central Massachusetts. The Concert Hall itself is truly a masterpiece, optimized for exceptional acoustic performances.
