The 8th Annual Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival features local growers and vendors. Taste your way around the Ocean State. Sip a refreshing cocktail and enjoy oysters and chowder on the waterfront all weekend long. RI is home to upwards of 45 oyster farms, each with a distinctive flavor, so this is your chance to savor a sampling of them in one festive atmosphere. Oyster growers will be shucking alongside local restaurants with live music under striped festival tents. The event is open to the public and all food will be available for purchase directly from vendors. Multiple cash bars will also be on site.

Newport Classical has a rich legacy of musical curiosity, presenting the American debuts of over 130 international artists and rarely heard works, and is most well-known for hosting three weeks of concerts in the summer in the stunning historic mansions throughout Newport and Aquidneck Island. Since its founding in 1969, the organization has produced more than 2,000 concerts and hosted more than 1,000 musicians and singers.
